WORCESTER- Judith R. "Judi" (Knowlton)Lajoie, 60,of Worcester passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 19, 2012, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Judi was born on December 15,1951 in Caribou, Maine to Regina (Swenson) and the late Frank Knowlton. She moved to Massachusetts in her early teens and graduated from Narragansett Regional High School in 1970. She attended Quinsigamond and Assumption College, Worcester Ma. Judi worked for Worcester County National /Shawmut Bank for 20 years. She has been employed by Acosta Sales and Marketing in Marlborough Ma, for the last 12 Years.

Judi was an incredible Mother, friend , co-worker , and the title she was most proud of, “Ma”, to her two beloved grandchildren, Drew and Amelia. Judi enjoyed vacationing with her grandchildren and loved going out to eat with her family and friends. She was a big fan of Elvis, “I love Lucy”, and Crime Novels. Judi was dedicated to helping out anyone who needed guidance and you would never hear her say the word “no”. Judi always put others before herself. Aside from her mother, Judi leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Leo R.Lajoie ; a son Michael Lajoie of Boston; a daughter Angela Ciaramitaro and her husband Jason Matthews , of Holden; two grandchildren Drew and Amelia Ciaramitaro and step-grandson Dylan; Three sisters; April Leblanc, of California; Klaudia Maillet of Arkansas, and Carol Osborne, of Baldwinville, Ma. Two Brothers; Paul Knowlton and Frank Knowlton, both of New Hampshire. Also many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father Frank Knowlton and brother Edward Knowlton.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 9:30 AM in Greendale Peoples Church, 25 Francis St. Burial will be private in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rose Monahan House c/o VNA Care Network and Hospice, Development Office, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608. Arrangements are in the care of FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
