Fannie May Wells

WORCESTER- Fannie M. (Waire) Wells, 96 of Worcester passed away Wednesday in the Autumn Village.

Her husband Curtis Wells predeceased her. She leaves two sons, Jimmie Waire of Worcester and Reverend Dr. J.C. Wells of Fort Washington, MD; four daughters, Marion Davis of Worcester, Evelyn Spivey, Shirley Jackson and Patricia Avery all of Chicago, IL.; sister, Jessie Johnson of Worcester; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A daughter, Rosa Hargrove; four brothers, Mobile, Henry, Irving and Hilton and two sisters, Ophelia and Betty Jean predeceased her. She was born in Macon Mississippi, daughter of John and Rosie Bell (Deal) Waire. Fannie was a founding member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, June 4 from 10 to 11 AM in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 717 Main St. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in the church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St.
